Meet Our SPEX Friends

Meet Our SPEX Friends

Our mission is to sell eyewear to humans and give 100% of profit to people who help animals.

One way we do this is through our SPEX Friends program. Here's how it works:

  • SPEX invites a nonprofit rescue into our program
  • Both SPEX & the organization inform supporters about a new way to buy glasses online
  • Supporters purchase with a 10% discount & SPEX donates 100% of the profits

All of these organizations work tirelessly with minimal funds to help animals. Many are staffed by volunteers so if you're looking for a way to help without spending any money, contact your local rescue and ask if they need help. I'm pretty certain they'd welcome you with open arms and paws.

So, let's meet some of the amazing organizations who are part of the SPEX Friends team!

guidrys guardian

Guidry's Guardian Foundation

Guidry’s Guardian Foundation is named after Founder, Alanna Rizzo’s dog, Guidry. Until Alanna adopted Guidry, she didn’t know what she was missing.

All donations to Guidry’s Guardian Foundation are used for, but not limited to:

  • Adoption and foster fees
  • Supplies, medical costs, spay and neuter services
  • Mental and physical rehabilitation and training, for animals in high risk situations, to get them off of the streets and out of high-kill shelters.

Guidry’s Guardian Foundation financially supports individuals and organizations who support fostering and adopting over buying from breeders and pet stores.

ARF

Animal Rescue of Fresno

Animal Rescue of Fresno (ARF) was established in 1998 by a group of community members in Fresno, CA that wanted to do something about the high number of homeless dogs that were dying because no one gave them a chance to find their forever home.

ARF began its operations out of a small facility on Belmont Ave and Highway 99. ARF moved to its current location on Dakota Ave. in 2005. From its humble beginnings, ARF has grown quickly, so that more and more dogs each year can be rescued and adopted out to loving forever homes.

cat house

The Cat House On The Kings

The Cat House on the Kings is California's largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center. Our mission is to place rescued cats and kittens into loving, permanent homes; to provide a safe, happy and healthy home for unwanted cats and kittens in a unique, no-cage facility; to prevent pet overpopulation through spaying and neutering; and to educate the public about responsible pet ownership.

ACT

Animal Compassion Team

Our Mission: GIVE HOPE. We believe that all dogs and cats are individuals. Through lifelong commitments and healthy fulfilled lives we believe pets are able to become the best they can be and amazing relationships are built.

There is simply no greater gift than family. To have those around you that you love, trust and protect is what gives all our lives purpose. We believe in family at ACT and make that our goal for every pet, to have a family of their own.
